Born in Blountstown, FL, Mr. Vann proudly served in the US Air Force during WWII and retired from Hillsborough County Schools. He was a member, former deacon and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Lutz. His survivors include his wife, Sara; son, Jimmie Vann (Brenda); daughter, Marilyn Mathews (Larry); five grandchildren, Jason and John Vann, and Melissa, Olivia and Zachery Mathews; two great grandchildren, Mariah and Savannah Vann; beloved nieces and nephews, as well as, many friends. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Lutz. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service time.
