Maxine W. King
KING, Maxine W. 84, of Tampa, Florida passed away February 12, 2018. She was predeceased by her loving Husband, Lanny B. King, Sr.
She is survived by sons, Lanny B. King, Jr. and wife, Karen; Danny R. King and wife Kelly all of Tampa, Florida; daughters, Lanetta King, Connie King-Koons and husband Garner Koons, all of St. Petersburg, Florida; 9 Grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; sister, Velma Harkins, Clayton, Georgia; brothers, James Haynes and wife, Barbara; Keith Haynes and wife, Kay, Eddie Haynes and wife, all of Charleston, WV. Also, predeceased by sisters Lorene Walker and Linda Reynolds, both of Tampa, Florida; and sister, Beverly King, Charleston WV. Additionally, survived by many loved family members and friends.
She was business owner with her husband, Lanny B. King, Sr. in Tampa, Florida. Together they owned and operated King’s Auto Sales, Inc. for many years. She was instrumental in the Tampa area education system for many years and served in numerous capacities in PTA as well as serving as substitute teacher for various grade levels. She was active in the community over many years and involved in community work on a continual basis. She was a deeply devoted wife and mother.
The family will receive friends Monday,February 19, 2018, 6-8pm at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home, with committal services to be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 12:30pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
