Obituary for Charles M. Tackett

Charles M. Tackett 84, of Plant City, Florida passed peacefully from this life on November 2, 2017. He was born January 5, 1933 in Pontotoc, Mississippi. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris Tackett; parents, William Tackett, Sr. and Mrytie Tackett, brother, William Tackett, Jr, sisters, Wanda Minshall and Iva Tackett and great grandson, Kember Peele.

He is survived by sons Jerry Tackett (Lucy), Keven Tackett (Sherrie), daughter Barbara Haynes (Tom), eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Charles was a big man with a big heart who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sharing stories of his life. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home, Tampa, Florida. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at 1:30 p.m. with a ceremony by military honor guard.
