Obituary for Michael Rey Stallings

Stallings, Michael R., 73, of Tampa passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 after a long battle with respiratory failure. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Air Force, and a Certified Purchasing Manager, and later worked for his parents. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan E. Stallings; parents, James A Stallings, Lillie Mae Stallings and sisters Ruth Haynes and Dorothy Evans. He is survived by his daughter, Paula A Sullivan and son-in-law Charles Sullivan of Tampa, and his brother James A Stallings; nieces, Donna Stallings, Barbara Stallings Patch, Debbie Haynes of Alabama, Candy Gibbs, Adele Morris, Kathy Wolfe, and Ruth Evans; nephews Steven Torregiante Donald Jr Haynes, and his Aunt Juanita Kirkland Logan, all from Tampa.

Michael was both a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was a kind, thoughtful and generous man who enjoyed helping others that were in need and offered guidance to others. He was known as a very nice man whose company was enjoyed by everyone who knew him. He made a great impact on everyone’s life. He will surely be missed by family and friends who loved him very much.

Family will receive friends Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Adams and Jennings Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial Services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery at 4406 E. Chelsea Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
