Joyce Maria Joy, 64, of Tampa, passed away on September 19, 2017. Joyce retired as a Corporal from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 2008. She enjoyed crocheting and painting as well as arts and crafts and loved lighthouses. Joyce battled cancer for many years and was truly a fighter. She is preceded in death by her son, Jamie Joy, and father, Muggs Taylor. Joyce is survived by her loving family, son, Matthew Joy; mother, Merlyn Taylor; sister, Zandra Taylor; and brother, Ron Taylor. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home, Tampa, Florida. She will be laid to rest next to her son, Jamie, at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
