Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to hear this tragic news. My deepest most sincere condolences to the family & all those who cared deeply about her, which I'm sure is many. Although I barely new Dr. Pendas, and had only 1 office visit as a patient with her, she completely lifted my worry, made me feel she genuinely cared about my well being, and even brought up, addressed and intended to help me with health issues she noticed in my LRMC file that I never mentioned to her, that she found concerning. After so many doctors not caring, I gave up on ever feeling well again, but seeing Dr. Pendas made me realize there ARE doctors out there who care about patients and their well being and will do whatever they can to improve the quality of life for their patients. Even in my brief interaction, I could tell she was a brilliant, caring, genuine human being. Not someone who got in to medicine only because they loved science, or because they wanted a financially rewarding career, but because Dr. Pendas wanted to help people be well. May you RIP, Dr. Pendas, and thank you for restoring my faith in the field of medicine! I will forever remember your kindness, intelligence, bedside manner, and the generosity of your valuable time.
