Obituary for Robert Estivo

Robert ESTIVO, passed away January 5, 2016. He was born on May 10, 1938 in Queens, New York to Alfonso (Bob) Estivo and Jenny Caruso Estivo.

Robert was a jet mechanic in the military. Later, he owned a salon in West Babylon, New York for about 8 years. He was often in hair styling competitions where he won many awards. For the next 50 years, he was selling, designing, building and installing cabinets. He owned a cabinet shop in the Tampa Bay Area known as the “Kitchen Magician”.

He always had a passion for dancing and often, in his earlier years, was featured in local newspapers. He liked to dance to disco and techno music and was known as “Dancing Bob”. He also enjoyed flying kites. Bob raised two children, Kim Murphy and Michael Estivo. He loved spending time with his family and friends. In recent years, he became active as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His love for God and love for people motivated him to tell others about his Merciful God Jehovah.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso (Bob) Estivo and mother, Jenny Caruso Estivo. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Murphy (Albert); son Michael Estivo (Rachel); sister, Barbara Doran; brother, Richard Estivo; aunt, Louise Mortilla; grandchildren, Tiffaney Goss (Trey), Ryan Estivo, Brenden Estivo and Alyssa Estivo; great-grandchild, Lucas Goss; nieces, Linda Weber (Ben Scheinhoft), Donna Anderson (Will), and Laura Doran; great nieces/nephew, Jennifer Coffey, Donna Duca, Emily Anderson, Thomas Anderson and Ana Anderson.

A memorial service will take place 2:00p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6318 N. 22nd Street in Tampa. A visitation will be held 6:30-8:30p.m., Friday at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home, 6900 N. Nebraska Avenue in Tampa. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home by Friday or the Kingdom Hall by Saturday. His loving memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
