of Tampa passed away peacefully. Born and raised in Ybor City she was a woman with passion in her heart. Sylvia had a love for anyone she came into contact with. Kinds, passionate and loving are a few choice words that can describe this Tampa native. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland and parents, Evelio and Josephine Almendares. Sylvia is survived by her four amazing children, Yolanda (Doug) Fiedler, Sandra (Carmen) Ruffalo, Roland (Missy) Espino and David (Wendi) Espino; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Kristen, Douglas, D.J., Bryana and Bella and two great grandsons, Lucas and Hunter who were loved dearly. Sylvia will be greatly missed by family and friends. A funeral Mass will take place noon Wednes¬day, February 26, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour before services. Pallbear¬ers will be David, Roland, Doug, Carmen, Douglas and D.J. and honorary pallbear¬ers will be Armando Delgado and Danny Almendares. Those wishing may make donations to American Heart Association or Leukemia Society in her memory.
